Ministry on a Mac

May 24, 2006

For some time now, clergy and ministry staff have been torn on which computer to purchase and which operating system is best for ministry. Ministry leaders are a very unique group of folks. They are both entrepreneurial and creative. Software needed to get ministry task completed include software for business management, word processing, and Bible study. Many pastors however do not typically have an outlet for their creative gifts. Granted, many called to teach and preach are creative in their oration. However, in today’s media driven society, video and audio clips (either from a movie or produced personally), live one act plays, monologues and dialogues, can all add to the depth of a sermon and the redundancy in learning.

So, what does this have to do with this blog? I plan to explore how ministers can equip themselves and their fellow leaders with the right technology tools for accomplishing the tasks of ministry.
